GRADUATION
FASHION SHOW

Every fashion designer looks forward to their graduation show with great excitement—and so do I. From developing the theme to crafting the final product, every step has been a hands-on learning experience.

For my collection, I selected the theme “IMPULSIVE,” which reflects the idea of acting without forethought. During my research, I came across the kaleidoscope—an object that instantly fascinated me. The ever-changing, spontaneous patterns it forms perfectly align with my theme. This object became a sort of creative intoxication for me, inspiring my visual language and design choices.

Drawing from WGSN’s Spring/Summer 2017 trend "Digital Wave," I incorporated triangular shapes as the foundation of my pattern exploration. As the process evolved, a question sparked a new direction:

"What if a kaleidoscope formed monochrome patterns? Would they still be visually compelling?"
This question led to the core concept of my collection.

Key Considerations:

  • Since this is a summer collection, the garments should be lightweight, breathable, and easy to wear—both in terms of print and fabric.

  • The pieces should also be affordable and easy to maintain (i.e., machine-washable and practical for everyday wear).

INTER COLLEGE
FASHION SHOW COMPETITION

Fashion Show – ICAT College, Electronic City, Bangalore

This was our first time representing ICAT College in an inter-college fashion show competition held in Bangalore. As per the event guidelines, we were not allowed to work with professional models, so all the models featured in the show were my classmates and juniors.

I took on multiple responsibilities, including costume design, styling, music selection, and choreography. While we didn’t win the competition, the experience was incredibly valuable. It offered hands-on learning in team coordination, creative direction, and the challenges of executing a full runway show from concept to stage.

Key highlights:

  • Role: Costume Designer & Creative Coordinator

  • Team Size: 16 Members

  • Skills Applied: Styling, music curation, runway choreography, teamwork, and presentation under constraints.

CARNIVAL

Bangalore Fashion Carnival – The Chancery Pavilion Hotel, Bangalore

The Bangalore Fashion Carnival is a city-wide fashion show featuring emerging designers from Bangalore and Mysore, aimed at giving upcoming talent a platform to showcase their creativity. The theme for the event was “CARNIVAL”, and all participating designers were required to develop a collection based on this neutral, open-ended theme.

I presented my collection titled “Rip Off His Attention” (ROHA), which drew inspiration from vibrant colors and bold shapes—reflecting the dynamic, energetic spirit of a carnival.

Collection Details – ROHA
